From Life director Daniel Espinosa, the official synopsis for Morbius reads:

"One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed and transforms this healer into a hunter."

Morbius will exist within the same Spider-Verse realm as Venom, with several other pictures in various stages of development for Spider-names like Spider-Woman, Black Cat, Silver Sable, Kraven the Hunter, Silk, and Jackpot,

Before Morbius gets here, Venom: Let There Be Carnage is presently set for a 25 June 2021 release - with that movie to see Tom Hardy's Venom joined by Woody Harrelson's maniacal, murderous Carnage.
