He kicked up a stir in Stranger Things as Max's brother Billy Hargrove and even had the leading role in Power Rangers. Still, he needs something new and fresh to take him to the next level. Mortal Kombat wouldn't be the movie to make him a household name, but it would be a step in the right direction.

Montgomery is perfect for the part of Johnny Cage as his leading man looks and proficiency with action projects - as seen in Power Rangers - give him all the credentials he needs. However, his appropriateness for the role doesn't stop there, as Montgomery also carries a lot of signature Cage energy through his confidence, self-assuredness and charisma.
