20 Upcoming 2026 Movies You Don't Know About (But Should)

14. Untitled Jesse Eisenberg Film

You probably don't know about Jesse Eisenberg's third effort as writer-director because, despite wrapping principal photography about a year ago, it still doesn't have a publicly announced title.

But Eisenberg's new film is a most unexpected detour for the actor-filmmaker - a musical-comedy starring Julianne Moore as a shy woman who is unexpectedly cast in a local production of an original musical.

While working alongside a strong-willed director amid the high-pressure world of community theater, she loses herself in the role.

This is certainly one hell of an interesting swing for Eisenberg, who turned many heads with his Oscar-winning previous film, A Real Pain and you sure can't accuse the guy of playing it safe for his follow-up.

He's in assuredly good hands, though, with not only Moore but also Paul Giamatti, Halle Bailey, and Havana Rose Liu onboard, among others.

Don't be shocked if Eisenberg serves up the most surprising of things here - Hollywood's next great musical.
