Warner Brothers/DC wants Justice League to happen so badly that it would probably sell the Looney Tunes to Disney/Marvel if it meant success (and with WBs former chair, Alan Horn, now sitting at Disneys table, whos to say that couldnt be a possibility?) Most projects with several abortive starts, abandoned concepts, and multiple helmers who could have been are abandoned quicker than a flash. But not Justice League. No, thats an idea that obviously has its time. The only thing is, it was released in May, it was at a different studio, and it was titled something different. If Warner Brothers seriously wants Justice League to happen , it shouldnt be so keen on ditching a formula that works (especially in light of the history of Justice League non-starts.) To borrow the example of their direct competitors, you need an Iron Man to start the march toward The Avengers, and for all intents and purposes Warner Brothers already has an Iron Man, and he outperformed the actual one in spades. WB are a little late to the party with the Man of Steel reboot, but instead of banking the future success of The Justice League on a film thats in and of itself another too soon reboot, why not go with the sure thing? Say heroes around the world were inspired by Batmans example of selflessness and determination (one hero in particular could solve the problem of Batman being dead, while preserving the continuity - but more on that later.) Those heroes would be so duly inspired that they not only decide to fight back themselves, but eventually band together to form their colourful and infamous ensemble (and Im not the only person who thinks this is a good idea.)
