20 Recent Horror Movies That NEED Sequels

18. Obsession

The enormous success of Curry Barker's Obsession naturally left many viewers immediately wondering whether Barker might dive into a sequel - and furthermore, what form that sequel might take.

Though Barker has flat-out stated that he has little interest in revisiting the fallout of the existing story, he did say that he has already cooked up an idea for a potential standalone sequel.

But it goes without saying that Barker has swiftly become one of the busiest and most sought-after horror filmmakers working today, so it wouldn't surprise anyone if he simply never finds the time to return to this world.

Yet the whole One Wish Willow concept is so conceptually rich and downright fun that it'd be a damn shame if we didn't see another movie centered around it.

Obsession is certainly a tough act to follow, but a spiritual sequel which adopts the same monkey's paw throughline while tackling a very different kind of wish could be just as great.
