20 Recent Movies EVERYONE Knew Would Suck

13. The Family Plan 2

If past performance is the best indicator of future performance, nobody should've expected much from The Family Plan 2 - a follow-up to 2023's limp action-comedy starring Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Monaghan.

The original film, in which Wahlberg plays an ex-assassin whose past life comes back to bite him and his family, felt like a quasi-parody of flavourless, forgettable streaming movies best watched while doing your laundry.

And so The Family Plan 2 invited the very same expectations, which it duly lived down to, serving up another slice of anodyne nonsense that simply refuses to be in any way memorable.

In that respect, it's at least a difficult film to get angry about, except for the fact that obscene amounts of money, time, and energy - not to mention the brilliant Michelle Monaghan - were squandered on such a disposable non-entity of a movie.

And considering it was a smash hit for Apple, we can probably expect The Family Plan 3 to materialise soon enough.
