8. Don't Be Tempted To Make A GTA Movie Even When GTA V Breaks Every Record
Grand Theft Auto V will undoubtedly be one of the stand-out cultural events of the coming year - since the game's announcement, the internet has been flooded with speculation and fan excitement surrounding the smallest of announced or hinted at details. Amazingly, Hollywood is yet to really cotton on to the mass appeal of Grand Theft Auto as a property, and though there have long been rumours of a GTA film, nothing has yet come to fruition, despite the obvious potential for massive commercial return. Fans would no doubt get excited at the thought of a cool as ice driving-heist movie starring Ryan Gosling, or something dark and deliriously cool directed by Darren Aronofsky, but the simple fact is we're likely to get a Mark Wahlberg starring, Fast & Furious rip-off directed by Michael Bay or McG. So, please don't do it Hollywood, unless you really do intend to make it as cool as it could be. And here's another reason why: video game movies are terrible, almost entirely without exception.
