Nicolas Cage's 10 Most Hilariously Awful Movie Hairdos

By Scott Campbell /

9. Con Air (1997)

Con Air is without a doubt one of the best action movies of the 1990's, taking a simple high-concept pitch and an awesome ensemble cast and delivering an entertaining and explosive thrill ride. Further reinforcing his action hero credentials, Nic Cage delivers an admirably straight-faced lead performance despite his ridiculous and unconvincing accent, which is almost as wonderful as his hair. Going for the unkempt recent-parolee look, the fact that a great deal of the movie takes place in sun-baked and arid locations means there is plenty of time for the actor's grey-flecked flowing locks to billow gloriously in the wind, majestically trailing behind him as he runs away in slow-motion from yet another explosion in an effort to save the day.
