One Mind Blowing Secret From Every MCU Movie

13. The Details On The Suits - Shang-Chi & The Legend Of The Ten Rings

Something to look forward to with every superhero in the MCU is the costume. Whether it's a newcomer to the franchise, or an updated look for a character who has been around for a decade, it's no understatement to say that this visual could be make or break.

This could come down to how accurate it is to the comics, how inventive or cool, and even just how well it fits in with the story. Audiences had to wait until the third act in Ta Lo to see Shang-Chi's (Simu Liu) heroic threads in his 2021 debut, but when it came, it did not disappoint.

He and his sister, Xialing (Meng'er Zhang), were gifted suits made from dragon skin by their mother, and they have to be among the coolest looks introduced in the entire Multiverse Saga. This is absolutely a product of ridiculous dedication, discipline, and hard work.

For each costume, tiny dragon scales had to be carved and moulded before being glued on by hand by the team. This amounted to roughly 14,000 scales on each suit, a number that is utterly mind-blowing. In a bonus featurette, Simu Liu can be seen getting quite emotional over the suit on his first day of wearing it, as the results more than speak for themselves.
