Oscars 2018: 11 Blockbuster Movies That Deserve Best Picture Consideration

Pixar's Coco is one of the year's best-reviewed blockbusters and is pretty much a lock to win the Best Animated Feature Oscar at this point, but can it also sneak in a Best Picture nod, as Up and Toy Story 3 managed in previous years?

How Likely Is It?: The trajectory of the awards circus so far doesn't suggest Coco will land a Best Picture nod, though it's certainly got a stronger chance than the majority of the tentpoles on this list.

Nominations for Best Animated Film and Best Original Song are dead-certs at this point, while anything else, such as Best Picture or Best Original Screenplay, would be huge shockers. 4/10
