3. Guillermo Del Toro Checks The Best Picture Envelope

After Warren Beatty announced The Shape of Water to be the Best Picture winner, director Guillermo del Toro took to the stage to accept the award, and immediately took the winner's envelope from Beatty's hands.

After quickly checking the card, he triumphantly raised it up in the air with the biggest, happiest grin you've ever seen in your life and gave Beatty a warm hug.

Whether you agreed with the Academy's choice or not, it was tough not to smile in that moment and at least appreciate that del Toro is one hell of a likable guy.
