Oscars 2018: Predicting All The Nominees

By James Hunt /

14. Live-Action/Documentary/Animated Short Film

Pixar

The Short film categories are often among the hardest to predict, because - with a few exceptions - they're usually highly-niche films that not a lot of people will have seen. That means Disney and Pixar tend to do well in the Animated category, with the latter firmly in the mix this year. In the live-action and documentary categories, meanwhile, there's an interesting mix of countries and topics represented. Each has been whittled down to a shortlist of ten, with five nominees in each.
