Oscars 2018: Predicting All The Nominees

10. Film Editing

Although the winners often differ, a nomination in Best Editing tends to be crucial for Best Picture, with all but one of the last 10 winners of the latter having at least a nomination in this category.

That should cement Dunkirk, Three Billboards, and The Shape of Water as the strong contenders, especially those latter two, and dent the chances of Lady Bird somewhat. There are some that should be nominated here that won't be in the BP mix though, as it'd be a travesty if Baby Driver wasn't nominated.
