This is unquestionably one of the most interesting Best Animated Feature races in the entire history of the award, given how utterly predictable and mainstream-skewing it tends to be.

Frozen II didn't even get nominated, Missing Link won the Golden Globe (albeit not a great indicator of Oscar success), and Netflix's Klaus won both the Annie and the BAFTA (the former being a reliable Oscar predictor).

Though Toy Story 4 will play well broadly across the Academy's membership, its lack of industry awards support so far suggests this is Klaus' to take, and what a sight that'd be.
