Who Should Win: Mank
It's pretty tough to argue with Donald Graham Burt's outstanding production design work on David Fincher's period drama: it is nothing if not a meticulous production which persuasively evokes the look and vibe of Old Hollywood.
Who Will Win: Mank
Mank should have a straight path to the Oscar podium, if nothing else because the Academy loves rewarding movies that are about Hollywood itself. And while Mank ultimately isn't going to take much home, this feels like a fitting win.
