All five nominees are strong possibilities, but Alan Baumgarten's dizzying work on The Trial of the Chicago 7, skillfully cross-cutting between scenes and timelines while maintaining total coherence, is absolutely worthy of the win.
Who Will Win: Sound of Metal
Mikkel E.G. Nielsen's editing on Sound of Metal is a lot less showy than most of the fellow nominees, but works in perfect concert with the immaculate sound design, so there's no ill will whatsoever when it likely takes the gong home.
