Aside from the above image, opportunities to take a look at Suicide Squad's Killer Croc have been few and far between. The character is one of DC's more outrageous villains, so his treatment in the movie has been the source of much curiosity. Over the weekend we got a chance to get up close and personal with the character on twitter, as actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje celebrated his 34th birthday in full make-up with Will Smith. This is the best, untouched look at Croc we've had so far. The character has a pretty extraordinary origin, a type of atavism that's cursed him with reptilian tendencies, but in Suicide Squad he's at least preserved humanoid form. Iterations over the years have had Croc look far more fantastical than he does here, and it must be said, the make-up really gives the impression of a feral human, rather than a hulking pseudo-dinosaur. That should suit the tone of Ayer's movie, and maybe even provide Croc with strong motivation for his presumably dishonourable history. The more humanity a bad guy possesses, the more interesting he tends to be. Just how big a role Croc has is unclear, but we know he's a member of the Squad itself, and on the basis of this, looks both formidable and scary. Suicide Squad opens on 5th August 2016.
