Outrageous New Aquaman Poster Revealed Ahead Of Trailer Release

Tag yourself, I'm the turtle.

The first trailer for Aquaman is coming this Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con, and to further hype the event Warner Bros have revealed a new poster for the movie, and it's quite something.

The poster finds Jason Momoa's Arthur Curry under the sea, surrounded by a bunch of sharks, whales, and even a few turtles. It's bright, colourful, and yes, rather silly, but that does seem to be exactly the point. Wan is no stranger to creating blockbuster movies that get away with being knowingly ridiculous, and this poster hints at a similar self-awareness (at least, hopefully that's what this is).

The movie is Warner Bros' only live-action DC offering this year, and the first since Justice League became yet another disappointment. It's unfair to put the pressure of saving the DC universe on it, but this one does need to be a hit, even with a crowded December release (where it'll go up against the likes of Mary Poppins Returns).

We should know more after Saturday, though, when the trailer debuts and, fingers crossed, promises that they have somehow pulled this one off.
