Pre-Order LORD OF THE RINGS: Extended Edition on Blu-ray
almost two months ago and although there's still no firm release date (Christmas probably?) we can now officially pre-order The Lord of the Rings Blu-ray: The Extended Editions. Amazon U.S. have set the pre-order price at $83.99, which is down from the RRP of $119.98 - and what you get for your money is the ENTIRE Extended Edition upgraded to 1080p, with the extras, appendices, etc included - plus the documentaries from the latterly released Special Edition. Perfect! No word on U.K. price just yet but as soon as I hear it, I will let you know. Man, with those Star Wars Blu's coming later this year and now LOTR: Extended, I'm officially out of my Blu-ray allowance by March and all I've done is pre-order! There's also a trailer at the Amazon site, but rather lazily, it's exactly the same footage as they used for the theatrical transfer but with a different voice-over...
