Predicting Summer 2017's Highest Grossing Movies

1. The Fate Of The Furious ($1.25 Billion)

Why It'll Happen: Furious 7 blew away everyone's projections by crushing $1.5 billion at the worldwide box office, and while a big chunk of that change was due to curiosity over Paul Walker's final appearance in the franchise, the eighth movie is still going to pull in an impressive $1.25 billion, driven by an insanely strong international presence.

Why It Might Not: Perhaps the Paul Walker effect is stronger than expected and it'll actually gross closer to $1 billion, or audiences just might start feeling fatigued with the series at this point. Plus, the marketing presence has felt weirdly low for such a big "event" movie due out so soon.
