Ridley Scotts "Prometheus" is expected to be a bit of a big thing this summer, you might have heard of it. You know, the one that is a prequel to "Alien", one of the greatest sci-fi films ever made? Well, it seems that a lot of people have indeed picked up on this being one to watch over the blockbuster season as the film is on course to break UK IMAX pre-sale ticket records before it is released on Friday. The sci-fi film has taken £470,977 from 30,000 pre-sale tickets, which beats its own record set back at the beginning of May when it was announced that 18,000 tickets were sold in the first week of pre-sales. This new record means the film has the highest earnings for first week pre-sales and highest earnings in the week before the films release. Prometheus is on the verge of beating both "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2" and James Camerons mighty "Avatar" to the highest earnings for combined pre-sales. The film opens in UK cinemas on Friday 31st May and US 8th June and our press screening of the film is tomorrow night. Expect our review soon!
