Ridley Scott€™s "Prometheus" is expected to be a bit of a big thing this summer, you might have heard of it. You know, the one that is a prequel to "Alien", one of the greatest sci-fi films ever made? Well, it seems that a lot of people have indeed picked up on this being one to watch over the blockbuster season as the film is on course to break UK IMAX pre-sale ticket records before it is released on Friday. The sci-fi film has taken £470,977 from 30,000 pre-sale tickets, which beats its own record set back at the beginning of May when it was announced that 18,000 tickets were sold in the first week of pre-sales. This new record means the film has the highest earnings for first week pre-sales and highest earnings in the week before the film€™s release. Prometheus is on the verge of beating both "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2" and James Cameron€™s mighty "Avatar" to the highest earnings for combined pre-sales. The film opens in UK cinemas on Friday 31st May and US 8th June and our press screening of the film is tomorrow night. Expect our review soon!
