Rafe Spall Joins Ridley Scott's PROMETHEUS

British actor Rafe Spall, son of Timothy, and who if you are on the same wave-length as me you will know him as the obnoxious employee at Simon Pegg's electronics store in Shaun of the Dead, or as the useless cop in Hot Fuzz, has just landed a role in Ridley Scott's half-Alien prequel, half-original tentpole Prometheus. The part time stand-up comedian, who will next be seen in Roland Emmerich's Shakespeare thriller Anonymous in September, is the latest to join an eclectic cast led by Noomi Rapace, and starring Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris and Katie Dickie and which films March 21st at Pinewood, ahead of a release on June 8th next year. There's nothing much else to report on Prometheus, except that The Daily Mail's reliable Baz Bamigboye is adamant the movie is more involved with the Alien saga than Ridley Scott wants us to believe;
Ridley€™s movie is about gods and monsters and, contrary to the director€™s claim (a smokescreen) that it€™s not an Alien prequel, I hear the complete opposite. I€™m told a monster is being developed right now that is so terrifying it€™s scaring the designers!
