2. It's Packed With Surprise Cameos
Given that the movie literally grinds to a halt as Vanellope visits a Disney fansite mid-movie, it's little surprise that Disney takes full advantage of the opportunity by including an avalanche of cameos from their vast catalogue of popular IP.
And you know what? It's actually pretty fun for the most part. Sure, some of the cameos feel incredibly obvious and low-effort - the Stormtroopers and Buzz Lightyear, for example - but there are some genuinely surprising ones, and even an unexpectedly affecting one best left unspoiled.
Outside of the obvious Disney shilling, there are even some neat "cameos" from long-dead Internet brands, which should serve as a sly treat for slightly older audiences. Keep your eyes peeled for the GeoCities logo, for instance.
Though Easter eggs and cameos will never be an apt substitute for a truly compelling story and characters, it does at least provide some added fun for the viewer.
