Well, haven't the last couple of weeks been pretty awesome? The release of Avengers: Age Of Ultron officially marks the start of the 2015 blockbuster season and all the studios want to get audiences backing their particular horse in the race for box office supremacy, leading to a seemingly endless onslaught of trailers. It feels like every other day has seen the debuting of the latest tease for one of the summer's big hopefuls, or a movie that's further away but no less anticipated. Now the releases seem to have quietened down, it's time to assess who's going into the summer release months looking like a winner and who's already cancelling those sequel plans. Here's a rundown of the seven big recent trailer releases, ranked from worst to best in terms of how they get you hyped for the movie. Quite what makes a trailer work isn't the same as a full feature - bad movies can have good ad campaigns and vice versa - meaning a trailer's success isn't always a measure of what to expect in the darkened auditorium come opening weekend, but it does give an idea of how the studios want the film to be perceived, as well as what they think (and the operative word is think) the fans want.

Honourable Mention - Star Wars: Rogue One

As a proof-of-concept effects reel shot on a cameraphone (and yet to be released officially) for a movie that isn't out until December 2016, the "tease" for Star Wars: Rogue One can't really count on this list proper. But, still, what a great tease it is. As Obi-Wan delivers his Old Republic monologue from A New Hope, the camera pans up and along a dense jungle planet before settling on the sight of the newly constructed Death Star dominating the horizon. It's short. It's simple. And it's so Star Wars.
