Box Office: The Noomi Rapace-starring sci-fi thriller went straight to Netflix.

Verdict: One of the better Netflix Originals to date, What Happened to Monday sees Noomi Rapace giving it her all playing an impressive seven roles in an ambitious and provocative sci-fi thriller shot with eye-popping style by Tommy Wirkola.

While it's definitely too long and muddles some of its headier concepts later on, Rapace's nuanced performance is certainly compelling enough to see it through, and fine support from Willem Dafoe and Glenn Close sure doesn't hurt either.

Considering how much sloppy, low-budget sci-fi fare lands on Netflix these days, it's refreshing to see one with an all-star cast and sizable budget to boot.
