13. Unfriended: Dark Web

Box Office: Produced for a svelte $1 million - the exact same budget as its predecessor - the gimmick-horror sequel has grossed around $10 million worldwide.
That might sound great, but considering it's less than the opening weekend of the first Unfriended, which went on to score a $64.1 million total, it's honestly a bit of a disaster. Clearly the original was a flash-in-the-pan hit, and four years later, the interest just isn't there.
Verdict: Far better than just about anyone was expecting from an Unfriended sequel, Dark Web is a surprisingly well-written follow-up with solid character work and a number of legitimately queasy sequences.
Above all else, it understands what the Internet is in 2018, and delivers some brutally nihilistic thrills within the same innovative style that was so successful the first time.
Unfriended 3 would probably be a step too far, but this wasn't bad at all.
