Ranking December 2015's Movies From Worst To Best

15. Life

RottenTomatoes Score: 60% (6.1) Box Office: After roughly a month on release, the $10-15 million James Dean biopic has made just $934,875 at the specialty box office, and even with VOD grosses, there's no way this isn't a major financial disappointment. Verdict: Though not quite living up to the potential of a movie directed by Anton Corbijn (Control, A Most Wanted Man), Life nevertheless mines terrific performances out of Dane DeHaan and Robert Pattinson as James Dean and photographer Dennis Stock respectively. It's a little on the meandering side at times and doesn't have a clear focus at all, but it's beautifully filmed and evokes a strong sense of time and place. Perhaps not the best James Dean on screen, but a solid effort all the same.
