8. Seed Of Chucky

Every franchise has their low point, and for the Chucky series it was this infamous chapter of the killer dolls murderous career. As established in the previous film, Chucky had created new life, with Seed of Chucky now telling the story of this new blood. What should've been a fascinating delve into the next generation of Chucky's legacy, quickly turned into a dumb, comedic spoof that almost mocked the killer doll's journey.

Sure, Bride of Chucky was developed as a bit of a comedy, but it still took itself seriously. Here, the franchise takes a collosal nose dive, made worse by the meta elements fuelling the stupidity of the plot. This ain't no Wes Craven's New Nightmare, that's for sure. It's an absolute shamble of a film, and does nothing but deliver disservice to Chucky's legacy.

Had this been a serious narrative, that actually had Chucky's child be a nightmare worse than his father, this could've been something of pure genius. Instead, Don Mancini crafted a strange set up based around Glen being confused over his identity and gender, which was executed so poorly, and frustratingly dumped more cringe worthy comedy into the fold. Also, did we really need to see Chucky masturbating, and Tiffany turkey basting Jennifer Tilly?
