Ranking Every DC Comic Book Movie From Worst To Best
30. Jonah Hex
It's a real shame that Jonah Hex was such a bust. It came with an incredibly talented cast - well in Josh Brolin, Michael Fassbender and John Malkovitch at least - and the comic was a great source for an alternate comic book movie. Strictly speaking, it should have been the Preacher of movies.
Unfortunately, it turned out horrifically, fudging almost every bit of good potential - from the cast through the story to the use of Mastodon on the soundtrack - thanks, apparently, to heavy-handed studio interference (where've we heard that before?). Why else would it only be 81 minutes long and make absolutely no sense?
Hex isn't just one of the worst DC movies of all time, it's the worst comic book movie ever made. And you really have to feel for Josh Brolin, who struggled manfully against the tide of effluence to try and put something memorable on screen. Sadly, he spends way too much time acting opposite Megan Fox, who sucks all goodwill into the blackhole of her terribleness.
