14. Mr White (Casino Royale, 2006; Quantum Of Solace, 2008; Spectre, 2015)

We had no way of knowing it back in 2006, but the ruthless Mr White (not of Breaking Bad fame) would go on to beat out Jaws as the longest-serving henchman in 007's cinematic history - appearing in three Bond films.

In his first foray, Mr White shows some serious credibility by shockingly executing Le Chiffre two-thirds into Casino Royale. Higher up than the supposed main villain, he's an ideal target for Bond to pursue in hopes of learning more about the mysterious Quantum organisation - and that's exactly why 007 captures him at the end of the film.

However, Quantum - and by extension, Mr White - is more powerful than even Bond suspects. In the subsequent film, White is rescued by a double agent stationed within MI6 before disappearing into the shadows.

He wasn't done, of course. White finally shows up in Spectre as The Pale King - having dropped out of SPECTRE itself after disagreeing with the rapidly deteriorating morals of their policies.

White gets to go out on his own terms - shooting himself after revealing the existence of his daughter to 007: Bond Girl Madeleine Swann.

For a character with such little screen-time initially, Mr White certainly turned out to be important - and went on to undertake quite a metamorphosis.
