3. Luke Skywalker

Luke Skywalker is the iconic Star Wars hero, the son of Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala. Trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda, Luke evolved from a lonely farmhand into a powerful Jedi, capable of resisting Emperor Palpatine and defeating Darth Vader. He was brave and courageous in his prime, facing the Empire head on.

Luke was a skilled fighter, able to give Darth Vader a challenge with little training. In his later years, Luke trained the next generation of Jedi, before they were wiped out by Snoke and Kylo Ren. He gathered ancient texts and artefacts which made him into a knowledgeable and insightful Force user.

Despite his slightly cynical nature in the sequel trilogy, Luke still stepped up and faced down Kylo Ren and the whole First Order. In the end, Luke's legacy is that of a true Jedi and hero.
