Ranking Every Nicolas Cage Movie Worst To Best

31. Racing With The Moon (1984)

Paramount Pictures

Sean Penn and Cage star as two young men awaiting their induction into the Marines in 1943, detailing their final days before they ship off.

It's not the most original premise, but Penn and Cage bring plenty of emotional honesty to their parts, and the seeds of their prosperous future careers are very obviously sewn here.

Hardly an essential Cage work, but certainly one of his stronger earlier films.

30. The Ant Bully (2006)

Warner Bros.

This Tom Hanks-produced effort may be at least the third-worst CGI animation about ants - behind Antz and A Bug's Life, of course - but it's still a watchable, easily digestible family-friendly romp.

Cage provides the voice for Zoc, the wizard ant who has 10-year-old Lucas (Zach Tyler Eisen) shrunk down to size in order to teach him a big lesson in civility.

Though the message is obvious and the animation hasn't aged well at all, it's fine for a few laughs, and at just 88 minutes long, it doesn't outstay its welcome.
