Box Office: Aired on TV.

Verdict: Though it never quite manages to escape its mediocre TV production values, Brexit survives on both the strength of Benedict Cumberbatch's central performance as Brexit campaign manager Dominic Cummings and its insight into what led to the shocking Leave victory.

It's always tricky making a movie about a subject that's still very much in motion, but Brexit smartly draws its focus on both Cummings as a character and the little-known technological subterfuge which allowed the Leave campaign to gain a sneaky advantage.

Some of the caricature-like representations of real politicians are a bit too daft for their own good - especially Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage - but thankfully Cumberbatch's performance is persuasive enough that it's fairly easy to forgive this misstep.
