Ranking July 2018's Movies From Worst To Best

A stacked month for movies.

July is historically one of the busiest months for movies, and this year was certainly no exception.

This past month has seen studios unleashing their most ambitious tentpole blockbusters upon audiences, alongside some tantalising offerings from the art-house realm and, yes, some lowest-common denominator slop that was predictably savaged by critics.

July had it all, then. If you were after high-calorie, big-budget insanity, an indie slow-burn or something dumb to watch on Netflix while you fell asleep, you had more than your fair share to choose from.

Quality-wise July has indeed been all over the place, with only a handful of films scoring effusively positive reviews, while most releases instead fell into the OK-to-decent range, alongside a number of undeniable, flat-out duds.

August is also set to be another stacked month, with the likes of Ant-Man and the Wasp (finally!), Teen Titans Go! To The Movies, The Meg, Unfriended: Dark Web, Christopher Robin, The Equalizer 2, Slender Man, The Happytime Murders and Upgrade on the way...
