Box Office: With a sensibly slim $21 million budget, the ensemble sex comedy has made $5 million from its early international release, though its true fate won't be known until it releases in the U.S. next weekend. With reviews and word-of-mouth in its favour, it'll probably do just fine.

Verdict: Much like Game Night, the marketing didn't suggest Blockers would be all that great, but by serving up a refreshingly feminist spin on the typical teen sex comedy, Blockers carves out a welcome niche for itself in a tired genre.

The script is a firecracker, ably shot through by a wonderfully talented cast, especially a show-stealing John Cena and Ike Barinholtz. The adult and teenage characters alike get their fair due in a film that expertly balances gross-out gags with smarts and sweetness.
