Box Office: The Bella Thorne and Patrick Schwarzenegger-starring romantic drama failed to meet opening weekend projections of just $5 million, and has made around $10 million worldwide to date. At least it clearly didn't cost much to make, so it'll probably turn a modest profit on home video.
Verdict: From the director of two Step Up sequels comes this woefully schmaltzy romantic drama that channels the spirit of all those atrocious Nicholas Sparks adaptations, even though it's actually based on a 2006 Japanese film of the same name.
Thorne and Schwarzenegger at least give stronger performances than the material deserves, but it's sappy, cheeseball nonsense and therefore exactly what most people will expect. Yuck.
