Verdict: A low-fi tech-centric horror film blessed with plenty of style and a superb central performance from The Handmaid's Tale's Madeline Brewer, Cam largely delivers on its intriguingly bizarre premise.

Brewer is splendid as a young cam-girl who finds a doppelganger of herself online, while the increasingly agonising mystery is drip-fed to the audience for maximum suspense.

It gets dinged slightly for a mildly underwhelming finale, but given how chintzy and unintentionally comical these tech-peril movies can turn out, this one is surprisingly effective when taken seriously.
