Ranking The 10 Best Disney & Pixar Films Since 2000
10. Winnie The Pooh
An unsuccessful gem of a film. In 2011 Disney brought back Winnie The Pooh for an all-new adventure with Christopher Robin and the gang. Whilst their intentions may have been to bring the beloved bear to a new generation of children, the film was unfortunately financially unsuccessful.
Taking just $30 million back against a production budget of around $50 million, that underperformance meant that the film was destined to fade into the background of Disney's 21st century oeuvre as larger-scale animated projects took hold. More on those later.
Returning to the hundred-acre wood to see Winnie, Piglet, Tigger and the rest was something that at one time captured the imagination of so many children around the world. Especially since Winnie The Pooh is one of the most financially successful franchises of all time.
Time though, may have moved past this harmless tale of whimsy and innocence, because despite very good reviews, a 91% score on RT, and songs by Zooey Deschanel, it flopped.
It is now available on Disney+ for those who wish to indulge their childhood or introduce their own children to the world of Winnie The Pooh.
