Razzies 2018: Every Nomination Revealed

The worst of the worst in 2017.

With the Oscar nominations on the way this week, the Golden Raspberries followed their usual trend of stealing a march on their more prestigious cousins by revealing the films and performances counted among the worst of 2017.

The story of this year's raft of nominations is the supposed shock nominations of Darren Aronofsky's Mother! for Worst Actress, Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Director, but anyone who watched and hated the experimental, provocative mess will agree it's not that much of a shock.

It was self-indulgent nonsense purporting to be some kind of intelligent commentary, whose only currency was shock value. If that's all you value in film-making, then fine, fill your boots, but it was not a good time.

Elsewhere, Michael Bay inevitably took a kicking and so did Baywatch and Pirates of The Caribbean. And it should come as no surprise that the Fifty Shades sequel was firmly in the firing line too. What a shame.

It's safe to say it wasn't a good year for Mother!, The Emoji Movie, Transformers: The Last Night or Boo! 2: A Madea Halloween. And frankly, it's all entirely deserved.
