80. The A-Team
In among the many bland Sixers vehicles on the starting grid of the race for the first key there are a number of pop culture vehicles beyond just Z's DeLorean. And if you look hard enough, you'll notice the familiar shape of the black van used by Faceman, Hannibal, BA Barracus and Howling Mad Murdock in The A-Team.
It appears again in a later section of the race as Parzival uses the back door to beat the task.
79. Garbage Pail Kids
if you look hard enough, there are lots of little references around Wade's game rig. For instance, he has Garbage Pail Kids cards in there.
78. He-Man
Another one from Wade's van - at one point the camera lingers slightly over his He-Man lunchbox.
The furry-pantsed hero also appears himself in a cameo in the final battle.
77. Garfield & Friends
Wade also has Garfield stickers on the walls of his van in amongst his assembled mess.
76. Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure
Like The Dark Crystal, Bill & Red's Excellent Adventure - released in 1989 - is mentioned by Halliday in one of his memories when he explains how the race can be beaten by going “backward as fast as you can, really put the pedal to the medal like Bill and Ted.”
