Red Sparrow Review: 5 Ups & 5 Downs

1. The Solidly Satisfying Ending

No spoilers, of course, but as silly as the movie gets, it does still manage to conclude in mostly satisfying fashion, serving up a neat final twist which, while not exactly shocking, aptly services both the characters and the story.

The ending certainly leaves some questions dangling in the air and it probably could've handled a few things a little better, but in terms of realising the frothy spy thriller kicks most of the movie was in search of, it basically succeeds.

It's a capper that'll probably leave most audiences more entertained by the film than not, even if those aforementioned glaring issues can't readily be ignored either.
