We have kept quite close to the production of the Halloween remake for several months now, and let's face it, should you be surprised? It's probably the most iconic and perfect horror movie ever made, it's our duty to keep you informed. Well the man with the near impossible job of remaking Halloween (don't feel sorry for the guy, he brought this upon himself), has responded to all the "haters" who have been crapping over his early script and dissing his project pretty much since day one. Basically Rob Zombie has responded to us... "I notice that so many people get crazy when someone you don't even know posts an opinion about what they think HALLOWEEN will or won't be. This is crazy. Do you really go through life influenced by the thoughts of others that easily?Anyway, things change so much in a movie, from moment to moment, from second to second that all I can say is : see it for yourself and figure out if you like it or not. Really who gives a fuck what someone else thinks? Everybody likes different shit for differenet reasons. But deciding that you hate or love something that doesn't even exsist yet? Well, that a little ridiculous". So what, is he admitting that the script is complete garbage? I said in the comments section of Ray's post, that I am willing to view the film with "fresh eyes" but when you see what has become to The Omen, The Wicker Man and Black Christmas this YEAR ALONE, can you blame us for being worried? Nobody wants you to succeed in this more than us Mr. Zombie. We would hate our horror icon to be pissed on like the recent Jason Vorhees portrayals, but I think the general consensus is that your past filmography doesn't leave us with much hope for the film and even if you were John Carpenter himself.... I don't think a remake of Halloween could be done. source - rope of silicon, zombie's blog
