We already knew that a Shang-Chi movie was coming, but now, thanks to Comic Con, we have a whole raft of details including cast updates and the reveal of the real Mandarin's involvement.

The Marvel panel at SDCC included the revelation that Simi Liu (Kim's Convenience) will play the martial arts expert (and most skilled fighter the MCU has ever seen) and that Tony Leung (Infernal Affairs) will play the real Mandarin.

Given that the title is Shang-Chi and The Legend Of The Ten Rings, we can assume that the real Ten Rings organisation (rather than the false fronts set up by Obadiah Stane and Aldrich Killian) will turn up. We've seen them before, of course, in Ant-Man and in the Hail To The King One-Shot.

Presumably, the "Legend" element of the title means we're also going to get to see the actual Ten Rings worn by The Mandarin and their associated powers from the comics. Which means this movie will have a more mystical or supernatural bent than early MCU movies. In the wake of Doctor Strange's change to the MCU fabric, this makes a lot of sense.

All-in-all, it looks like another exciting addition to the MCU. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments thread below.
