No spoilers here, but Sonic 2's mid-credits scene is a real doozy alright.

Just as the first film dropped that glorious Tails tease, the sequel briefly nods towards the direction for the third film, introducing a certain fan favourite... thing... that's going to immediately get fans hype for Sonic 3.
No matter what you make of Sonic 2, the mid-credits tease is a fist-pumping moment for sure - it is a classic case of giving the fans exactly what they want.

And no, there isn't a post-credits scene to wait for afterwards, so you're free to bail once this jaw-dropping reveal is over.
