4. Will The Sinister Six Ever Show Up?

Alongside Mysterio's apparent death, the other big storytelling surprise was that the Sinister Six didn't really seem to be hinted at in even the slightest.

Despite early reports suggesting Michael Keaton would reprise his role as Vulture in Far From Home, he's nowhere to be seen, not even in a credits scene, and there are no overt references made to the iconic supervillain supergroup.

Given how long fans have been waiting to see the team depicted on the big screen, one has to wonder if it's ever going to happen in the MCU.

The Likely Answer: This is a majorly tough one. The MCU often subverts the narrative path fans expect, especially when it pertains to following the comics, but the incredible cinematic potential of the Sinister Six obviously speaks for itself.

Moreover, Homecoming's mid-credits meet-up between Vulture and Scorpion (Michael Mando) will feel like a total waste if things don't eventually build towards a supervillain team-up against Spidey.

But with only two of the six spots decisively filled, there's definitely the risk of Spider-Man 3 rushing through a self-contained Sinister Six arc.

Then again, perhaps Spider-Man 3 will simply introduce the key players, and Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Six will end up being Phase 4's climactic Avengers-type event movie.

It's all speculation and could go in so many directions, of course, but the gut feeling is that the Sinister Six probably isn't being adapted any time soon, sadly. We can dream, though.
