Spider-Man: Far From Home - 5 Reasons Why The Twist Ending Was A Great Idea (And 5 It Wasn't)
10. Great: It Naturally Introduced J. K. Simmons' J. Jonah Jameson To The MCU
Out of all the characters from the Sam Raimi era of Spider-Man movies, none was more well-acted than J. Jonah Jameson, J. K. Simmons' performance as the character standing out for just how comics accurate it was.
So, of course, if any of the cast from those films were to return in the MCU it was going to be Simmons and, thankfully, he did.
Though, due to how Tom Holland's Peter Parker is way more focused around the character being smart and with his connections to the multibillion dollar company of Stark Industries, slotting the Daily Bugle and Jameson into the mix could have easily felt forced - yet, Jon Watts and co. somehow managed to make it natural.
Making Jameson the one to make public Mysterio's video exposing Spidey was a stroke of genius that wonderfully set-up the character's hate for the hero as well as his place in the MCU as a whole.
