8. Flash Thompson

Flash Thompson is your usual high-school bully with a vendetta against Peter Parker and in most movies like this, he would be thoroughly detestable and instantly dismissable. But there's just something about the way he's written that makes it impossible.

There are hints in Far From Home that Flash's hatred of Peter might stem from his own abandonment issues. He might be rich and he may project the image of success and popularity, but he's just as much of an outsider as Peter and one whose parents are clearly not at all present in his life.

That touching complexity is enough to make him interesting and it will be great to see how he reacts to the revelation that Peter has been his hero Spider-Man all along.
