3. J Jonah Jameson Will Return
Rumour:
Despite Peter staying at school in Far From Home, it seems that his old boss might be making his inevitable entrance into the franchise. The casting of Curb Your Enthusiasm star JB Smoove (as confirmed by Deadline) seems to fit the model for JJJ a little too well for him to be playing anyone other than J Jonah Jameson.
Reaction:
Like Norman Osborn, it can only be a matter of time before JJJ appears in this Spider-Man franchise and Smoove definitely fits the bill. Sure, there are some who will always hold out hope that JK Simmons will return, but his contract to work in the DCEU probably makes that impossible.
And we've already seen from the Homecoming-tie-in Audi adverts that Smoove and Holland have chemistry, so it wouldn't be a bad thing either....
