Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer - 10 Major Questions We Have

9. Is It Really Set After Avengers: Endgame?

Marvel Studios

Marvel boss Kevin Feige has already "confirmed" that Far From Home is set after Avengers: Endgame, but unsurprisingly the trailer's total lack of reference to the snap has some fans sceptical.

Granted, Marvel Studios doesn't want to spoil what happens in Endgame, but from Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) having not yet met Peter, to the obscured issue/expiry date on Peter's passport and just how damn calm everyone seems, it really doesn't feel like a world recovering from an apocalyptic event.

Now, there are certainly plausible explanations for all of that via Endgame's expected time travel malarkey, but what if Marvel is toying with fans and Far From Home is in fact mostly set pre-Infinity War?

After all, there's no way the film has a significant time jump into the future as Peter is still in high school, so what better reason to obscure Peter's passport date than because it's the same year as Infinity War?

How galling would it be for Far From Home's final scene to lead in to the iconic school bus trip from Infinity War, just as Thanos (Josh Brolin) begins his assault on New York City?

Marvel Studios has a history of pulling the wool over audience's eyes and subverting expectations in their marketing, so it's safe to say that everything likely isn't as it seems.
