Spider-Man: Homecoming - 10 Things We Want To See In The Trailer
10. One Villain Only (Preferably Vulture)
In the past, Spider-Man films have had an awkward time with villains. Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3, for example, collapsed under the weight of its ambition, failing to juggle its antagonists in a satisfying way. The same thing happened during The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which had so many bad guys that it lacked any sort of focus.
The same fear looms over Spider-Man: Homecoming, but hopefully Marvel have closely analysed past mistakes. For this reason it'd be great if streamlining the appearance of villains began with the trailer. It's clear that Michael Keaton's Vulture is going to be the primary antagonist, so leave the others out for now.
Keaton's appearance in Homecoming has been enormously hyped, given his string of fantastic performances in the last few years. Showing fans a glimpse of Vulture and his winged suit would be enough to excite any superhero enthusiast. Perhaps a few teasing shots of the suit before a very quick glance of Keaton wearing it, just to leave something for subsequent promotion?
